Vibe coding cleanup services in 2026, compared honestly

Nine services that take AI-built apps to production, side by side on the things that matter when you're choosing: whether the first step is free, whether a price is published, whether they know your builder, and how fast they move. Gen2Prod is one of them; some of the others may suit you better.

In short

Reviewed . Vendor facts are as their own sites stated them on that date.

As of October 2026 there are roughly a dozen services that clean up vibe-coded apps for production. They differ on four things a buyer can check: whether the first step is free (most now offer a free scan or assessment), whether any price is published (most quote custom; the published ones run from $349 for a security sweep to $25,000 and up for a rebuild), whether they have a page per AI builder (a few do; most have one generic page), and whether they stay on after launch. Gen2Prod is the only one that publishes its prices, has a page per builder and starts with a free senior-engineer audit; it is a small team, so a large enterprise rebuild is better served elsewhere.

The real decision

Cleanup, rebuild, freelancer, or yourself

Most people aren't choosing between vendors. They're choosing between four routes, and the vendor comes after.

RouteTypical costTypical timeMain riskWhen it fits
Do it yourself with the AI tool$0 plus your timeWeeks, learning as you goYou can't see what you don't know to look for: 45% of AI-generated code samples carried a security flaw in Veracode's 2025 testA hobby project, or a developer founder with time and no customers yet
A freelancer from a marketplaceHourly; one 2025 analysis put the average Upwork vibe-code cleanup invoice near $7,2001–4 weeks, depending on availabilityQuality varies, scope grows by the hour, and nobody signs off the resultOne well-defined task you can verify yourself
An agency rebuildPublished floors start at $15,000–25,000 and run to $50,000+4–8 weeksYou lose what worked, and usually the builder you were productive inThe foundation genuinely can't be salvaged, and you have the budget
A fixed-price cleanup (Gen2Prod)Free audit; from $290 per fix; full sprint quoted in 24 hReport in 48 h; sprint 2–5 daysThe scope is only as good as the audit — which is why the audit is a senior engineer, not a scannerAn AI-built app with real users coming, that mostly works and needs to be made safe, fast and shippable

How to choose

Five questions for any of them

Including us. A vendor who answers all five clearly is a reasonable choice.

  1. 01

Ask for the first step to be free, or at least fixed-price. A service that won't look before quoting is pricing its own uncertainty into your bill.

  2. 02

Ask what they know about your builder. If the answer doesn't mention Row Level Security (Lovable, Bolt), Server Actions (v0), entity rules (Base44) or secrets in the client bundle, they haven't seen many of these.

  3. 03

Ask for a price before work starts and a date with it. Hourly estimates are a range with no top.

  4. 04

Ask what happens after launch. A cleanup with no monitoring is a cleanup you'll be repeating.

  5. 05

Ask who does the work. 'Senior engineers' should come with a name.

Questions

Choosing a service

Something not covered here? Talk to an engineer.

There is no single best one; it depends on what you built and what you can spend. For a security-only check, a specialist like vibe-audit.com publishes a $349 sweep. For a large rebuild with a budget above $25,000, an established agency such as Redwerk or Instinctools fits. For an AI-built app that mostly works and needs to be made safe, fast and shippable at a fixed price, Gen2Prod starts with a free senior-engineer audit, charges from $290 per fix, and has a page for each builder — Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Replit, Claude Code and Base44 — describing what that tool's output gets wrong.

Clean up, almost always. A rebuild costs $15,000 to $50,000 and 4 to 8 weeks at published agency rates, and throws away the parts that already work along with the builder you were productive in. A rebuild is only right when the foundation can't be salvaged: the wrong database for the workload, a data model that can't express the product, or a framework nobody can hire for. A good audit tells you which case you are in before you spend anything; Gen2Prod's is free and says so plainly when a rebuild is warranted.

Published prices range from $349 for a 48-hour security sweep, through $1,500 for a quick audit or $1,500–3,500 for a done-for-you security fix, to $15,000–50,000 for a full agency rebuild. Marketplace freelancers bill hourly, with one 2025 analysis putting the average Upwork cleanup invoice near $7,200. Gen2Prod's audit is free, a single fix starts at $290, ongoing support at $190 a month, and a full production sprint is quoted within 24 hours of the audit against what the codebase needs.

For some of them, yes, and you should: a well-written prompt will enable Row Level Security or move a key out of the client. The problem is knowing what to ask for. The tool that left the hole doesn't know it is there, and in Veracode's 2025 test 45% of AI-generated code carried a security flaw regardless of model size. A human audit is the list of prompts you didn't know you needed — and Gen2Prod's report is written so you can act on it yourself.

Ask for the first step free or fixed-price, a named engineer, a price and date before work starts, and what they know about your specific builder. Then check the reviews on a third-party site rather than the vendor's own. Any service on this page that answers those four questions clearly is a reasonable choice.
